Huron Shores Fire Prevention Officer Henk VanDelft reminds all residents that “You must have a working Carbon Monoxide Alarm adjacent to each sleeping area of the home if your home has a fuel-burning appliance, a fireplace or an attached garage.” He also advises “For added protection, install a CO Alarm on every storey of the home according to the manufacturer’s instructions.”

If you have questions or concerns with respect to CO Alarms and the law, please contact:  The Huron Shores Municipal Office 705-843-2033 or email@huronshores.ca, or visit the Fire Department page on huronshores.ca.  An HSFD member will be happy to respond or arrange a free home visit.
