Congratulations Mayor Bilodeau ! – Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) Executive Award On Tuesday, May 18th, the annual Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) Conference was hosted virtually by the City of Timmins. We are thrilled to acknowledge the recipient of the FONOM 2021 Executive Award was given to our very own Mayor Georges Bilodeau. Mayor Bilodeau was presented this award for his tireless efforts respecting the need for effective and efficient high speed internet in our rural communities. That endeavor has led to the creation of H&M COFI (Huron Shore and Manitoulin Island Community Owned Fibre Infrastructure) Corporation, to which Mayor Bilodeau a found board member and currently sits as Chair.
