As home burglaries increase in the area, the Municipality advise that residents always secure their property, including cars, homes, and sheds; even during the daytime.

Tips to prevent home break ins:

• Lock your windows and doors at all times; even when you leave briefly, are outside on your property, and inside your home
• Don’t leave anything valuable in your car and always lock the doors
• Keep equipment such as lawn mowers, barbecues and bicycles stored out of sight
• Don’t announce your vacation or trips on social media
• Never hide keys outside
• Have adequate exterior lighting (install motion sensor lights)
