New Ward 4 Councillor: Leo Persia At the October 28th, 2015 Regular Meeting of Council Mr. Leo Persia was elected to fill the vacant Ward 4 Council seat. Mr. Persia was raised and employed in southern Ontario. He has been actively involved in minor hockey and coached from Pee Wee to the Junior ‘B’ Level. He and his wife also owned a successful restaurant business. Following retirement in 2009, they moved to Dean Lake. Mr. Persia and his wife, Michelle, have two children and seven grandchildren, all of whom still reside in the Niagara Region. When introducing himself to Council with the other candidates at the October 14th, 2015, Regular Meeting, Mr. Persia advised that he would like to be a part of Council and move Huron Shores into the future. Mr. Persia will take the Oath of Office at the November 18th, 2015 Regular Meeting of Council. Council and Staff look forward to working with Mr. Persia to better serve the ratepayers of Huron Shores.
