November 26: Temporary Closure of Portion of Hendry Street Temporary Road Closure The travelling public are advised that, in order to accommodate the Fire Department Fall Joint Training exercises in Sowerby on Saturday, November 26th, 2016, Council has authorized that a portion of Hendry Street from its intersection at Highway 17 will be temporarily CLOSED to traffic, a distance of approximately 200 metres. Properties on Hendry Street in the vicinity of the closure will still be accessible via the Basswood Lake Road intersection and the Fire Department has advised the local residents of the upcoming training exercises. When the training exercises are completed at the end of the day, Hendry Street will be re-opened. Council, Staff and the Fire Department thank you for your understanding and patience while this necessary training is underway.
