October 1: Waste Site Hours of Operation Change Effective October 1st, 2015, the Municipal Waste Disposal Site Hours of Operation will be as follows: October 1 – March 31: Mondays and Wednesdays 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.; Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. April 1 – September 30: Mondays and Wednesdays 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.; Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. All Waste Disposal Sites are CLOSED on Statutory and Civic Holidays, Family Day, Easter Monday and Remembrance Day. REPORT TO THE CARETAKER: In an effort to ensure that debris and recycle materials are deposited in the appropriate locations, the Caretakers are now, or will be, greeting all persons entering the sites. Please stop at the entrance to advise the Caretaker as to the type of waste you are depositing. Please recycle whatever and whenever possible. Recycling depots are located at the Wards 1, 2 and 4 Waste Sites, and in Iron Bridge between the Village General Store and the Recreation Centre. Watch for more changes, as the Municipality works with the Ministry of Environment to ensure compliance and prolong the life of the Huron Shores Waste Disposal Sites.
