“Push the Button!” Contest: February 23-March 8 The following was received from the Office of the Fire Marshal in partnership with TVOKids: TVOKids wants you to Push the Button and test the smoke alarms in your home from February 23rd to March 8th, 2015. Push the button for 10 seconds. If the alarm doesn’t sound, it’s time to replace the battery or the smoke alarm. Test your smoke alarms monthly and change the batteries at least once a year. Replace smoke alarms with new ones after 10 years, even if they sound when tested. Go to tvokids.com and enter the number of smoke alarms you’ve checked in our interactive counter!
