Social Media Workshop – February 28 The Municipality received the following information from Christopher Elliott, Media Intern, with the East Algoma CFDC: “Hi Everybody, My name is Christopher, and I’m the Media Intern at East Algoma CFDC in Blind River. Part of my job is hosting free social media workshops for small businesses, corporations, and not-for-profit organizations in the local community. At these workshops, you’ll learn not only why using social media to promote your business is an effective and important marketing tool, but how to set-up a Facebook Business page and maintain and utilize it in order to promote your business and get connected to your customers and your community! It only takes a few steps to do, and with a few tips and tricks you can get your name out there and directly connect with your clients and discover what your demographic is and how to stay relevant in these ever-changing times! Our next workshop is Thursday, February 28th at 6:00 PM at the East Algoma CFDC Boardroom in Blind River. Once again, attendance is completely FREE, and if you attend the workshop and want to learn more about utilizing social media, we can set-up one-on-one meetings where we’ll be able to sit down and figure out a strategy that works for YOUR business!
