The Central Algoma Rural Healthcare Steering Committee, the North East Local Health Integration Network and LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services have made an interim arrangement for patients requiring medical laboratory services while a more permanent solution is found.  This Interim Service will begin on Wednesday, February 8th, 2012.

This service will be limited to patients who:

  • are NOT registered patients of the Sault Area Hospital, and
  • are NOT registered patients with the medical clinics on St. Joseph Island, in Bruce Mines or in Thessalon, and
  • cannot easily access the LifeLabs Patient Service Centres located in Sault Ste. Marie.

The service will be provided to patients as follows:

Wednesdays from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. at Algoma Manor in Thessalon

Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at Dr. H.S. Trefry Memorial Centre,
Richards Landing

This service is offered BY APPOINTMENT ONLYBeginning February 1st, 2012, patients may call LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services at 705-946-5543.
